About KPC
Located in the Historic Northeast of Kansas City, Kessler Park is Kansas City's oldest park, dating back to the 1890s.
The Kessler Park Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to protecting one of the city's most treasured and largest urban park landscapes. The Kessler Park Conservancy advocates for the preservation, restoration, and stewardship of Kessler Park and the Cliff Drive Scenic Byway, honoring their history while ensuring a safe, vibrant park for all Kansas Citians.
Kessler Park, originally known as North Terrace Park, is widely regarded as the city's first completed urban park. We believe its forests, bluffs, trails, cliffs, wildlife, and five-mile scenic byway deserve dedicated stewardship for all Kansas Citians and for future generations.
An important part of the Kessler Park Conservancy's work is to implement the Kessler Park Improvement Plan, a large-scale, community-driven plan created by Hoxie Collective LLC. Click here to learn more about the Kessler Park Improvement Plan.
